政府打算解禁日本核災地區食品進口，引發爭議。國民黨主席洪秀柱今天(23日)表示，民進黨過去強調核能與輻射對民眾極為有害，執政後卻態度改變，為了日本就大開方便之門。她強調，為了維護民眾的食安，國民黨執政縣市議會黨團將提案研修食品安全衛生自治條例，禁止核災地區食品進口，黨中央也會與黨團加強監督政府。
國民黨23日下午召開中常會，會中安排立法院黨團副書記長李彥秀報告「日本核災食品進口管制大哉問─一次看懂政府怎麼『放水』」。李彥秀在報告中特別引用民進黨過去提出的新能源政策白皮書，強調核災以及輻射物質對人民的危害。
黨主席洪秀柱聽取報告後表示，行政院長林全強調要以科學理性的態度看待日本核災地區食品進口的問題，且要以開放的角度與國際接軌，但民進黨過去以科學研究評估深植人民心中的恐懼，刻意排除與核能相關的一切事務，現在執政後，卻突然對核能與輻射的認知有了改變，覺得只要輻射檢測合於標準，輻射食品就可以安心食用，她質疑用這樣的標準還要談什麼「非核家園」。
洪秀柱說，許多民進黨執政的縣市都反對開放核災地區食品進口，民意也有超過7成反對，但政府現在為了日本，大開方便之門，她相信社會大眾自有公評。她說：『(原音)可是我們發現今天的政府是完全聽不到、也看不到，以前說反核，結果現在是為了日本，大開方便之門，我覺得時間還真的是一個最好的照妖鏡，可以看的出來到底是滿口謊言的政客臉孔，到底我們今天的政府是不是這樣的，我覺得值得大家來檢驗，社會大眾自有公評的。』
洪秀柱表示，為了捍衛民眾的健康，黨中央請國民黨執政的縣市議會黨團提案研修食品安全衛生自治條例，明文禁止核災地區食品進入台灣，並要求政策會偕同立法院黨團加強監督民進黨政府，以確保民眾的食安權利。
